An Event like no other

The 16th World Scout Moot is a global event for young adults aged 18-25, offering a mix of cultural exploration, outdoor adventures, and community engagement. I have been lucky to accompany the Saudi Arabian Scouts Association during this event.

Participants will first be divided into groups and assigned to a specific "Path", experiencing various aspects of Portuguese culture and nature, across the country, followed by a "Main Camp" in Esmoriz town.

This event brought thousands of people to a small town in Portugal near Porto. With that huge number covering so much ground, I had to focus on some aspects of the event. I want to show the emotions of participants and visitors to the best of my ability. 

One of my favorite photos I took is for an old man taking a video from his balcony, he was astonished by the number of people visiting this surf town. His phone case had a photo of his wife printed on it, she passed away not too long ago, and I can see clearly that he wanted to share this incredible moment with her.

This to me, encapsulates this event so perfectly, it also got me thinking of the people I want to share these moments with, hopefully alive and well.
