The London Photography Challenge was a one-week activity built around restrictions and rules that push creativity in new directions. During that week, the challenge was to shoot entirely in black and white. Since I was in London at the time, I embraced the limitation, heading out into the city to capture its rhythm without the distraction of color. The absence of color became a lens of its own, highlighting form, contrast, and mood in unexpected ways.
From this came my project “Cogs of a City”, where I woke up early in the mornings to photograph people on their way to work. The project reflects the movement and determination of individuals who keep the city running, like cogs in a larger machine. Each frame is a glimpse into the daily flow of London life, stripped down to its essentials through black and white photography.
